Woman attempts to 'trim' partner's hair before realising her hilarious mistake

A woman’s attempt to cut her partner’s hair has gone viral thanks to the very questionable results – and the pair’s contrasting reactions.

Emily and Cory Pendergast, from Ohio, are currently stuck inside like many of us and, with his usual hairdressers closed due to the coronavirus crisis, Cory asked Emily to give him a quick trim instead.

When Emily set up a camera to film the haircut following a suggestion to capture it on tape by one of her friends, Cory should have taken that as a sign she may not be the best person for the job.

But with his faith in his other half unwavering, Cory sits on the toilet in the bathroom, instructing that he would like a trim, with the scissors at a bit of an angle to achieve a more textured look.

Emily begins by lopping off a few fairly sizeable chunks of hair from his crown, as she comments that they don’t even have the scissors which are usually used by the professionals.

Quickly moving towards the front of his head, she halves the length of one chunky strand before pulling a worried face and throwing the hair in the bin before Cory can see.

Undeterred, she repeats the action at the fringe, and struggles to hold in her laughter.

Cory laughs too until he looks up to see her holding much of what used to be his fringe before quickly saying: “Honey, that’s too much.”

Assuming it has come from the middle of his hair, he sounds confident he will be able to cover it up, warning Emily not to do the same when it comes to cutting his fringe.

Continuing to cut large strands of hair pretty close to his head, Emily again laughs as a very laidback Cory asks: “Why are you laughing? You’re making me nervous.”

His face quickly drops when he sees the volume of hair she is holding and he repeats “honey, that’s too much!” before finally standing up to inspect the damage.

Realising he’s now sporting a rather large bald patch in the middle of his fringe, he heartbreakingly says ‘no’ and ‘that is not fixable’ as Emily breaks down in tears from laughter.
